David’s professional debut performance was as Andrei Vukhov in the Canadian premiere of Judgement— Barry Collins’ harrowing full-length solo drama. David continued to develop his acting and directing skills at the Shaw and Stratford Festivals, where he had the immense good fortune of learning from many of his theatre heroes. A diverse range of experiences in the Toronto area eventually brought him full circle with his latest projects—directing Deborah Shaw’s original one-actor drama, her., and performing his own one-person show, Bedrooms of the Nation. Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is his second collaboration with Shaw.

Deborah has worked on numerous Toronto productions as an actor, stage manager and costumier, but creating and performing her own work has been a particular joy. She was a founding member of Carpe Dinero (commedia dell’arte), then launched into Bellydancing with Arabesque Academy, where she performed as one of the Arabesque Earthshakers. This led Deborah to create her own unique style of dance fusion in her show Raqs Macabre, for which she is the producer, writer, choreographer, costumier and dance artist. Deborah performed her original one-actor drama, her., at the Red Sandcastle last year. It's story of a Holocaust survivor earned it 2nd place in last year’s Canadian Jewish Playwrighting Awards. She has several new scripts in development.

Josh is a recent graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s conservatory acting program. He's grateful for the range of material he had the opportunity to work on there, from Richard III to TomorrowLove. He lives in the city and acts when they let him. He loves classic American material, he’s had a fantastic time working on this show, and he hopes you enjoy it.

Chloe is delighted to be part of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? She recently played Mary Ann in Liz Best’s production of ‘Better Living’ with Alumnae Theatre and performed at the Tarragon Greenhouse Festival in Pictures at an Exhibition. For the Toronto Fringe Festival 2023, they wrote, produced, and performed their show, Voice: Song and Scream. Chloe studied theatre and music at Dalhousie University graduating in 2022 with a Bachelor of Music. Chloe would like to thank her family for their loving support.
